Most
visitors visit to Tanzania fly in via Dar Es Salaam which means
“Haven of peace” reflecting the relaxed and informal atmosphere of
the city. From here visitors can take a flight or drive to the game
reserves of the south. Though less frequented than the national
parks of the north, Tanzania’s southern park are most certainly
worth a visit as they provide a sense of African adventure not
possible anywhere else on the continent. The principle reserves in
the south are Selous, Mikumi, Ruaha, and the Udzungwa mountains
national parks.

Day 1: Dar-Es-Salaam to Mikumi approximately 5 hours journey.

Pick-up from Dar Es Salaam early in morning and drive to Mikumi National Park. ::
Arrive at Mikumi National Park in the afternoon. Check-in,
unpack and lunch at the Vuma Hill/Genesis Motel Hotel.

Drive safari at the National Park until late afternoon.

Dinner and overnight at the Vuma Hill / Genesis Motel Hotel.
Vuma/Hill Genesis Motel with its
beautiful swimming pool overlooking the wildlife terrain.
Day 2: Game drive.

Full day Safari: This will touch every aspect in Mikumi
National Park game viewing. ::
Return for lunch in the midday. Drive safari until late afternoon.

Relax and sip a drink of your choice at the bar,
enjoy uninterrupted panoramic views across the sweeping plains

Day 3: Return to Dar-Es-Salaam. ::
Early morning game drive, return to Vuma Hill/Genesis
Motel Hotel for breakfast and packing ready to leave.

Day 1: Depart for Mikumi. Lunch at Vuma Hill/Genesis Motel
Hotel. PM Game drive in Mikumi National Park, which is rich in
wildlife and contains buffalo, elephant and lion. Also found are
zebra, impala, warthog, hippo and giraffe. Dinner and overnight at
Vuma Hill Tented Camp / Genesis Motel Hotel.
Day 2: Game drive.
Early morning game drive. Return to Vuma Hill Tented Camp /
Genesis Motel Hotel for breakfast. AM Depart for Dar es Salaam.
The 16 tents are large and comfortable with a
rather old fashioned colonial décor. Sleeping under canvas at
Vuma is a far cry from the discomfort usually associated with
camping.
Selous (2 Nights/3 Days)
Day: 1

Depart from Dar es Salaam to Selous
Game reserve, arrives Selous late afternoon, Boat ride, Dinner and
overnight at the Camp site.
There are fluffy cotton dressing gowns and
towels and traditionally woven kikoys decorate the beds at
Selous Impala Camp Site.
Day

After breakfast a morning game
drive is organized. Lunch at the camp followed by an afternoon
walking safari return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Selous Impala Camp has a
lodge overlooking the river, where guests dine and relax in the
day, enjoying a book from the library and a drink from the bar.

:: Early morning game drive safari in
the park with pack lunch, game viewing en-route back to Dar es
Salaam.

Mwagusi Safari Camp is a well-appointed tented camp
built in keeping with traditional African style. The spacious
tents are private, their adjacent bathrooms crafted out of
thatch and reeds.

After breakfast full day game drive in Ruaha dinner and overnight at
the lodge or camping site

After breakfast game viewing en-route back to Dar.
